Hello world! Why is it so hard to keep up on blogging!? The thing that makes me really sad is this blog is for me, my family, and my posterity so you think I would be better about writing on it!! Oh well, I will keep trying! Things are going really well for the Gurmans at the moment. We got through the semester and Hayden did awesome! One B+ and four A's!!! He works so hard and is really smart! He only has two semesters left at BYU and will graduate in December! Yay!

The holidays were fantastic! We went down to Queen Creek, AZ for thanksgiving and celebrated with Jodi and her family, my parents, and Eric. It was such a great week! The weather was beautiful and our kids had a blast playing outside and with their cousins everyday.

We drove to Bakersfield, CA on December 14th and got there on the 15th. Eric showed up the next night. We all had a wonderful Christmas! There were lots of fun surprise presents, one of which was the xbox 360 kinect I bought for Hayden (and our family). It is really fun to play and I figure it is better to be up moving around than sitting on our bums just watching TV or something. It was so nice to spend some intimate quality time with my parents before all the rest of the siblings showed up the day after Christmas. Then things got crazy! 9 grandkids equals a lot of screaming and running around ha ha. All the cousins have so much fun playing together. Oh yeah and we got to talk to Brian on Christmas day, which was awesome!! He is doing great and his french is so beautiful! I can't wait for him to be home in August!!

Hayden and I had decided earlier that we were going to leave Bakersfield and go back home to Provo before New Year's just because I was over 38 weeks and didn't want to risk going into labor at my parent's house, although I think they all wanted me too! So we drove back home on Thursday and since then every day we have spent cleaning and organizing and just getting everything ready for baby Coast to get here! We went through all the baby boy clothes and got them all ready and it made me soooooooo excited to meet Coast! I want him to be here already!!

My due date is tomorrow, January 8, hence I will be 40 weeks!! I really hope I go into labor soon!! My parents are driving here today and then my dad leaves Tuesday and my mom will be here about a week! I am so excited to see them and hope that I have the baby while my dad is here! He's going to carry his name after all (Coast Mark Gurman). Have I mentioned I am doing a natural birth!? Ha ha, well I am! I will deliver at the American Fork hospital, but with no pain medications. Julie is probably going to come when I go into labor as well. She's never seen a live birth so mine will be her first! Hope it goes smoothly!! Well, I think that's it for now. School has started up again and Hayden has a really good schedule and good classes. Our twins are doing great and are so adorable and so smart. They learn new things everyday and I can't wait for them to meet their new baby brother!

Hello! I can't believe it has been so long since I updated our blog! Well, Hayden finished off being a Manager for Ecofirst Pest

Control in Sacramento for the Summer. It was a hard summer for me, taking care of the twins and being pregnant. I was basically

a single parent, which was hard! So glad I was able to go see my parents in Bakersfield about once a month. After the summer, we

went down to Bakersfield and my parents watched our twins for a few days while we vacationed in a beach house in Morro Bay! It

was so so fun to be together and relax and enjoy each other's company. Then it was time to head back to good ol' Provo! We kept

our old apartment so moving back in was not that bad, which was way nice! Hayden is a full-time student at BYU this semester,

studying Communications, emphasis in advertising. He has full plate with 5 hard classes, but somehow we are making it

through!

We are almost half-way! Yay! It is definitely better not having me be in school!

I am almost 29 weeks pregnant! It is going by pretty fast and I am way excited to meet and hold this baby, but also way

nervous at the thought of literally pushing it out of my body! Ouch! Yes, I had a c-section with the twins, but with this baby I

am going for a V-BAC, or vaginal birth after cesarian. Originally, I wanted to have like a home birth water birth all natural, but

now have decided on going through a midwife, but will be delivering at the Utah Valley Regional hospital in Provo. I have mixed

feelings about this. It is not my ideal situation, but I feel it is better to be safe and be in a safer environment in case anything

happens or in the event of an emergency. I am still planning on going natural (yep, that's right, no epidural!!) so we will see! I

am due January 8th and am having a BOY! I am so so excited. We are naming him Coast. Love it or hate it, it's fine. I had to

get used to it, but Hayden has been in love with the name for a loooong time and it means a lot to him, so there ya go.

So this is our lives right now. Hayden goes to school. I take care of the babies. Stay tuned for a separate blog post on

them! It's hard to imagine we are going to be a family of 5 in less than 3 months! Yikes! Can't wait though! UNtil next time!

My Angels

Ok, so this post won't be as good as it could be because I don't have pictures of my sweet little babies at the moment! But I will upload some later. :) So this post is all about my kids!! Beckham and Ellery. I just have to take some time and write all about THEM because they are amazing!!

Beckham:

-Looks more and more like a little boy and less like a baby, which is kinda sad for me, but also adorable

-Got his first haircut!! His curls were getting a little out of control so I went to chop town! Yes, I cut it myself and it looks sooooo cute!!!

-Has the prettiest golden brown hair color with blonde highlights from the sun

-Copies everything he sees from people or on TV like me when I'm working out or when they sing head, shoulders, knees, and toes on baby einstein

-Loves to brush his hair, brush his teeth, pretend to talk on the phone

-LOVES the water!! He loves bath time and loves to swim in Nana's pool! His favorite thing is to jump into the pool, yes, JUMP! He's a maniac and is not scared at all!

-Has the cutest walk I've ever seen. He struts around like he owns the world while his head bobbles around and his big cheeks jiggle with every step!

-Likes to tackle, body slam, and basically abuse Ellery

-LOVES loves loves his Daddy and thinks everything he does is hilarious!! No one makes him laugh harder than Hayden. You can see the love and adoration in the way that he looks at Hayden.

Ellery:

-Is my little princess!

-Is a blondie, which is really pretty on her

-Started walking about a month ago!! She did it pretty suddenly and LOVES to walk around. She lets me hold her less and is more independent since walking.

-Is still very small! I think she barely weighs 20 pounds!

-Is quite a spaz

-LOVES Nana and Papa

-Loves clothes! Such a girl already! She will find clothes and then walk around with them all day trying to put them on. Yesterday she had my sports bra wrapped around her neck and arm almost the entire day!

-Is very smart and figures things out very quickly, like phones, new toys, electronics, etc.

Can I just ask, does every parent think their kids are this stinkin adorable!!?? Holy moly! I can't get enough of them and I just think everything they do is so funny and so cute! Their smiles literally melt my heart every time and light up the room! They are both so smart and pick things up very quick! They are very aware of things going on around them. They will go to almost anyone. They are not that scared or timid. They think the weirdest things are hilarious. They love little kids. They love food and love to eat. They love playing outside. They love taking walks in their stroller. I put them both in the cart when we have to go shopping and they are always good. They take just one nap a day in the late morning/early afternoon. They love music, singing, songs, and dancing. They love Elmo! They love bananas and grapes! Well, I think that's it. I just wanted to write about them so I can look back at this and remember them at this stage. I feel so incredibly blessed to be their mom every day!! I love them so much and experience true and pure joy being with them!!

(*NOTE- ok, so listen. I know some of you might be gagging reading all of this and be thinking "Oh brother, this is so unrealistic and life is not really like this." Of course being a mom is the hardest thing I have EVER done and I have moments of anger and frustration with my kids! Life is not always rainbows and lollipops, but that is not the point of this post! The point of this post is to record the things my kids are doing right now and express my love for them! Maybe in the future there will be a post about the hardships and trials of being a mom and how sometimes my kids annoy me...but this is not that time! So enjoy this post about how amazing it is to be a mom and how adorable and sweet children really are!!!)

Hello!!! Anyone there...anyone!? Sooooooo yeah, I've been gone forever! I'm sorry! We're just so busy and blah blah I know I know. Anywho, I'm here now and ready to update on what's been going on with the Gurmans! :) Here are some things that have happened since my last post:

-I graduated from BYU!!! Ahhh I'm so excited, but I think it still hasn't really hit me that I won't be going back in the fall

-Hayden and I decided to keep our apartment in Provo so we can come back to it after the summer. This allowed us to leave a lot of stuff at home, which made packing way better! But the best part is that we found sub-letters for the summer! It is such a huge blessing and worked out perfectly. The couple literally were living in a hotel with only suitcases and are going to be in Provo till the end of August, so they are living in our furnished apartment for the summer and paying us rent! Such a huge blessing!!

-We moved to Sacramento, California! For those of you who don't know, Hayden is doing summer sales again this summer for EcoFirst Pest Control. He is managing an office and selling of course. I really like Sacramento and Hayden is doing good and is an awesome awesome manager!! What I really like about being here is that my parents are 4 hours away in Bakersfield!! I've had the chance to see them quite a bit so far this summer and I love it!

-Oooh, this is kind of a big deal...we switched from T-mobile to Verizon and I got an iPhone!! I know, gasp! I always said I would never have one, but we got it for a good deal since we were new members and we LOVE it!! Verizon is awesome and so are our phones!!! We love video chatting while Hayden is gone!!

Well, I think that's about it! I can't really think of anything else exciting or that would be considered big news that I would want to share with friends, family, and loved ones....so that's all for now! Pictures will come later when I find our camera!

Wow! What a crazy couple of months it has been! The semester is almost over and I am almost graduated! Hayden has been very busy with school and recruiting and training for his job as a manager for Ecofirst Pest Control. We're headed to Sacramento, CA this summer! Elle and Beck turned one! It was an emotional day for me, thinking back on all we had gone through in the past year, but I can honestly say I have never had so much joy! Twins are SO much work, but I love them so much! They are the sweetest funniest little babies and I love being their mother! Like I mentioned above, Beck is walking! It is the cutest thing ever! It totally catches me off guard though when he strolls wobbly past me! Who knows when Elle will walk! They are healthy and happy and are doing great! We have truly been so blessed. Hayden has been accepted into the Advertising program at BYU so now he has about two years left! I don't mind at all. I love my family so much! Hopefully I'll keep up-to-date with our blog for the Summer!! Talk to you soon!

Hello everybody! (it's actually probably more like NObody since I haven't updated in forever) I am so sorry it has been such a long time since I have updated and that you have had to look at the same post for ages! I am really going to try and update our blog more often! Even if no one follows or reads it, I want it for us! And for my family later on! It's memories and stories, ya know? Yeah, I know you know... that's why you guys are all good at keeping your updated! Well, life has been good the past 4 months. Crazy, busy, hectic, stressful...but good. :) Hayden and I completed another semester of school! Yay! Hayden recently applied for the Advertising major at BYU, but we won't know if he gets in till March, so keep your fingers crossed! I am finally gonna be graduating this April!! Yay! April 22nd to be exact, and you are all invited. I know graduations are boring, but nevertheless you are invited. I will be graduating in Exercise Science: Fitness and Wellness Management, so be sure to contact me with all of your health and fitness related questions!!

We all flew to Florida for the week before Christmas, flew to Cheyenne, Wy for the week of Christmas and then drove to Bakersfield, Ca for the week of New year's! Yes, it was insane traveling with twins, but i'm gad we did it... did you guys hear about the new flight fees? Some airlines have already increased their flight prices and may charge for infants and carry-ons over 25 pounds! Yikes! We might be doing a lot more driving!

We are just now getting settled into a sort of routine again with classes and such. Hayden is figuring out what his/our plans are for the Summer. He wants to sell again but we don't know where and so on. He has to be recruiting and stuff too, so if you know of any quality guys looking to work hard this summer and make some good money send them Hayden's way!

So that's that. The babies are doing great and are as adorable as ever! I love them so much! Beck is crawling everywhere and has 4 teeth! Two on top and bottom. Elle is sitting up and that's about it ha! She is so cute! It's funny cause even though they are twins it feels like i have two children of different ages. K well gotta go...talk later!

Well it finally happened! Elder Brian Mark Williams entered the Missionary Training Center at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, September 8th. Grandpa Chuck came up from Payson to say goodbye to Brian. Hayden was next, who had to leave to go pick up his mom from the airport. It was a very emotional moment when Hayden said goodbye to Brian. Hayden has really come to love Brian over the past 3 years that we've been together. He looks up to Brian in many ways and is going to miss him a lot.
My brother Eric and I were lucky enough to be the ones to actually drop him off. It was such a neat experience, as quick as it was. As we drove into the MTC, there were tons of missionaries, the new ones entering and the older ones helping them in, and all three of us suddenly had a big rush of adrenaline and excitement! At one point Brian said, "Wow, I'm really going to be a missionary!" There were older men dressed up in gear guiding our car down further and further to marker 25 where we could park and let Brian out. The first older man we came across said, "One of you guys must be a missionary! Where are you going, Chile?" We laughed and said no and then Brian told him where he was going, after which Eric affirmed the man that Chile was where he had served his mission. The excitement grew and grew until we finally reached our destination. Two missionaries jumped up and down and pumped their arms enthusiastically as pulled to a stop. They were there to help Brian with his luggage and guide him to the right place. I took some last minute video and pictures of Brian. When it was time for me to say goodbye, I wasn't even sad. Well, maybe a tinge. But I was just too excited for him!! We watched him walk off and then he turned and waved one last time! Eric and I drove off and talked of how happy and excited we were for Brian to begin his mission journey. I love Brian so much and know he is going to do amazing things as a servant of the Lord for the next two years.

WE'RE BAAACK!!

Hello everybody!! Sorry it has been sooo long since I did a post and updated our blog! Sheesh! We have been busy busy (and still very much are) but I thought I would take this moment while the babies are napping (in which I should be studying, but who wants to do that?) to do a post. Hayden finished selling for the summer on August 26th. That day we packed up and drove down to Bakersfield and spent two nights with my parents. It was fun, it's always fun to be be with them. We drove to Provo on Saturday and arrived to find that the occupants in our apartment had not moved out yet. With no bed or furniture or a place to stay, we stayed with Mike and Pam until Monday. School started on Monday and we began to move into our apartment. The first week was crazy!! Holy bajolly. I thought going to school full-time with twins would be easy... I was wrong! It is very difficult and stressful, but oh well right? I gott get it done. I am trying to graduate in April, but might have to push it back to June. We'll see. Needless to say my grades are not going to be the best these next semesters, which sadly (or fortunately) I don't care. Just want to graduate. Unpacking and getting all moved in and settled has been a lot harder this time around with twins! We are still not all settled, but are getting there slowly each day. Brian flies in tomorrow night, we take him to the MTC on Wednesday and then Hayden's mom flies in Wednesday afternoon and will be staying with us for a week! I'm excited to see her and for her to spend time with the babies (which she has not seen yet!). Ok, so here are some things that have happened since my last post:

~ the babies turned 5 months
~ we had a family get together at Shaver lake and Bakersfield
~ we attended the temple as an entire family for the first time and last time for at least 2 years
~ I left my babies with a babysitter for the first time (which I really did not like! You'd think it would be nice to have a break, but I just thought about them and missed them the whole time)
~ Brian spoke at his farewell and us 3 sisters got to sing
~ Hayden finished the summer with the number one office in the company (yes, he wants to do it again next summer... ugh)

4 Month Old Twins!

Hi guys! Sorry it has been a while since I posted... busy busy! I finished my online American Heritage class, yay!! The fourth of July was great! We spent it in Hughson, CA with my fam and most of my mom's fam too. On Sunday we blessed the babies and then got together after to eat. It all went so well and Hayden's blessings were so sweet and beautiful! It was such a special experience that I will never forget. I love my babies sooooo much!!! They are seriously so stinkin cute and I just can't get enough of them! Hayden and I will both be going to BYU this fall and I am wondering how I am ever going to get any studying done when all I will want to do is play with my babies! By the way, I should be able to graduate this April, yay!!

So the twins turned 4 months on July 15th. Here are some things about them!

Ellery Michelle Gurman:

-weight: 9 lbs 13oz
-length: about 21 inches
-head: can't remember but it is BIG!! So funny, she is still below the fifth percentile for everything except for her head size!
-she does most things 4 month old do like reach out to objects, follow objects with here eyes and head, respond to sounds, bring hands together (and put them in her mouth), she still doesn't really roll over or even push herself up... oh well! The pediatrician said they aren't expected to do any of the things 4 month olds do because they were preemies so they are doing great! Both happy and healthy!
-she laughed on Wednesday for the first time and oh my goodness it was the funniest thing ever! She doesn't have a cute little dainty girly laugh... it's like a Lisa machine gun laugh... just like her mom! I'm so proud :)
- she still wears newborn clothes but is definitely chubby!
-cutest smile in the world that will melt anyone's heart (my mom says she looks like a dolphin when she smiles?)
-she is usually grumpy when she wakes up and wants to eat, unlike her sweetie brother who will always smile no matter how hungry he is!
-she is a tough cookie! If she gets bumped or scratched or whatever she usually doesn't even react, unlike her brother who can be quite the boob and scream and cry if something happens to him, although I like the fact that I get to hug and cuddle and comfort him when those things happen
-holds her head up well
-LOVES her daddy, always smiles for him, generally loves guys... she is a little flirt!
- spits up a lot! I am constantly changing her clothes!
-sleeps a lot during the day and likes to be awake and play at night
-sometimes sleeps through the night, sometimes doesn't

Beckham Hayden Gurman:

-weight: 12 lbs 9 oz
-height: I can't remember... I think around 22 inches
-head : can't remember, good size though :)
-he is on the charts now for everything!
-he does everything 4 month olds do, my favorite is laying him on his tummy and watching him roll over onto his back! He just did it one day and now does it all the time! Who taught him how to do that!? It is so cute!
-he is the most smiley baby ever! I love it! His smile is so darn cute! He also laughs a lot too, which I adore
-he isn't a fussy baby and doesn't cry that much either unless he is starving or VERY tired, yet even at those times I can get him to smile... he is a genuinely sweet and happy boy! Such a sweet countenance
-he loves everyone, but I like to think of him as a momma's boy and loving me the most :)
- my mom considers him HER baby because she took care of him a lot for a couple weeks when he was first born, he does love his nanna
-we are best friends
-eats all the time still, so does Elle! (and yes they are still just breast milk babies! I have not had to use formula yet! Yay! I am a milking cow!)
-hasn't really been sleeping that much during the day until about 4
-usually sleeps through the night! Then wakes up SO happy in the morning about 8
-takes baths with Elle, they love their bath time!
-they are starting to notice each other more and I love it! Especially when they smile at each other
-Beck started talking on Monday and now he talks a lot! It is the CUTEST thing ever!
-he loves to be held

Oh goodness, I could just go on and on about my sweet babies! I love them more than anything and they have made my life complete! I can't imagine life without them now, yes without BOTH of them, together. They are very special and precious babies.

Hello! I am soooo sorry it has been so long since I've done an update on what's going on with us! Basically, I am incredibly busy! Ha, wonder why. Things are going very good here though! Hayden is doing good selling and being a manager and it's fun being around my brothers! The babies are doing great! I feel so incredibly blessed. They have been as healthy as can be, no problems yet! they eat alllllllll the time (like 2 hours, maybe less) but that is understandable... they are trying to grow and catch up! And boy is it working! They are both getting so big! They have really filled out and are soooooo cute! I can't believe they were once my tiny skinny little preemies! They both smile a lot and I llloooovvveee it! Next up: laughing! Really looking forward to that one. Sometimes I try and do the silliest things (i fell very dumb) to try and get them to laugh, but no laughs yet! They are still completely on beast milk! Yay! I mostly pump and give them bottles. It's a lot faster than nursing. So yeah, things are going good out here. I just take care of the babies and try and work on my online class, which I am almost done with. Just have the final left! I am really looking forward to this 4th of july weekend! My family is getting together (minus jules and tuck :() in turlock with my mom's family to celebrate. Then on the 4th we are blessing the babies! I am sooo excited! It has been so much fun raising these two little angels! It is so much work and I constantly find myself thinking how easy it would be with just one, but I couldn't give either of them up! They are so special and priceless. My life would not be complete without BOTH of them here together at the SAME time!!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been a while since I posted anything... we have been super busy! We got Beck home and was so amazing! I finally felt like a real mom! I was having a blast taking care of him and having him at home. It was really crazy going back and forth from home to hospital while Elle was still in the NICU. Thank goodness my mom was there to help! I could not have done it without her! Finally, Ellery came home on Tuesday, April 20th. We took her straight to her appointment with the pediatrician and then up to Highland to see grandma! That was really fun, grandma loved the twins! The next day me, my mom ad Brian headed out to California, leaving Hayden to finish packing and his finals. The trip to Cali went really well! The twins did so great. We stopped twice so I could feed them. Hayden came Thursday night. Saturday the 24th was Hayden's birthday. He got to play disc golf and got some new discs and we had a bbq. The weather was gorgeous in Bakersfield! On Sunday we left to go up to our home for the summer, Livermore. We finally got all unpacked and moved in by Monday night. Wednesday the twins had a checkup appointment with their pediatrician. Everything went really well. Ellery weighs 4 lb 8 oz and Beckham is at 6 lb 6 oz! They are growing really good and I'm so happy about that. Life with both babies home is crazy! I don't get hardly any sleep at night! They are so precious though. They are both good babies that don't cry very much and eat really well. They are healthy and are doing good. Beckham is getting his circumcision a next thursday! :( I hope it goes ok. Poor Beck. He'll thank us when he's older. So yeah, things are going good. Just gettin adjusted and stuff. Talk soon!

Hello! Wow, time flies! So, I have been pretty busy... I pretty much live at the hospital! The babies are doing really really well! It's so annoying cause I just want them to be hoooommmee!! Ugh. Basically, Ellery just needs to keep putting on weight and then they both are working on nursing. They are doing really well! They were doing two feedings a day from me (nursing), then three and now they are doing 4!! I'm hoping Beckham gets to come home this week... it may be the end of this week, but still, THIS week!!! I love my little babies soooo much and can't wait to have them home! It's very difficult changing their diapers with all their cords and wires and such! And trying to see and kiss and smoosh and tickle their little cheeks with a feeding tube taped on the whole side of their face!! Our picture up loader is still not working... so frustrating. Hopefully soon we will be able to put up some new pics! They babies are soo cute and are getting bigger! Especially Beck! But um, yeah... I think that's it. My life is just going and nursing them at the hospital 4 times a day and then pumping when I'm at home. Hayden goes to work and does school. We are getting to move in like 3 weeks! Ahh!! But we are truly so blessed and grateful that our babies are doing well and are healthy. I can't wait for all of you to meet them!!! xoxo

My babies continue to do well! They moved or "graduated" up to the other side of the NICU called Nursery B. This is where the babies go that are doing well and don't have any major problems. They are called the feeders and growers because that is what they are working on, learning to eat/nurse and growing/putting on weight. I go in to breast-feed with them twice a day. It has been going well, especially for their age and size! Ellery actually does better than Beckham! Beck got his IV taken out yesterday! Yay! Now he is solely going on breast milk! Ellery will be getting her IV out tomorrow! Every time a wire or cord comes off I am ecstatic! It is so hard for me to see them like that, tubes and wires everywhere! Ellery has been growing great and putting on weight, not so much for Beckham, but at least he was bigger than her to start with so has an advantage! They are honestly the sweetest little angels and I love them so much! I get depressed sometimes when I leave the hospital after being with them and I can't take them home with me, but I know they will be at home before I know it! On Monday it will be two weeks that they have been in the NICU. Soon, soon... they will be home soon. Please continue to remember us in your prayers! Thank you so much for everything! Hey! When my mom and I went to the NICU Monday we got quite a surprise! Ellery's incubator was gone and she was with Beckham! The nurse said they were put together Sunday night! I had been longing so bad for them to be able to be in the same bed, but thought it would take a while longer before that could happen, but apparently not! They have been doing well enough that they were able to be put together from now on! They love being together and always lean in toward one another. The other day Beckham was very comfortably cuddled up to Ellery and barfed all over her head and ear! Ha ha, she didn't seem to mind it. :) Hopefully them being together will help them even more and they will continue to do so well!! I love these little angels so much! They are so sweet. I can't wait till we can take them home and you all can come see them!!

Hello! What a week it has been!! One of the best weeks of my life, that's for sure! I love my little babies sooooo much, they really are my sweet little angels. they have been doing great! They were under lights for bilirubin for about 3 days, but are done now, yay! It was such a shame covering up Beckham's gorgeous hair. Also, Beckham is no linger on any oxygen! He is breathing all on his own as of Friday night. I started non-nutritive feedings twice a day. This is when I hold the babies and they practice nursing. I pump right before so they don't get any milk, but learn the idea of it. This is when I am in heaven!! I love love love holding my babies! They are so sweet. I have been doing really well. I am recovering nicely. Having a c-section was actually not bad at all. I thought it was going to be way way worse. We have truly been incredibly blessed! Thank you so so much to everyone who has prayed, fasted, and thought about us, our situation and our babies!!! We know Heavenly Father has heard all our prayers! We are surrounded by LOVE and it is a great time in our lives. :)

Ok, these are my LAST belly pictures of this pregnancy!!! I am 34 weeks here. Even though I still am not that big for twins, I feel like I definitely grew in the last week! The babies are gonna be here tomorrow!!! my c-section is at 12:30. I can't believe it. I can't believe we are to this point. My mom, dad, Julie, Eric and Brian are all gonna be here, I feel so truly blessed. I love my family so much and am so grateful we can all share in this experience together. It has been a crazy pregnancy for sure just finding out we were pregnant, the HORRIBLE "morning" sickness for months, finding out we were having twins, the cord scare with Ellery, being on bed rest in the hospital for 4 weeks and now a c-section. What an experience it has all been. I am so excited to meet these little babies. I am already so in love with them. I could not have done any of this without my amazing and wonderful husband Hayden. He has been so extremely loving and caring and supportive and helpful. He is my best friend. He was born to be a husband and a father. This is where he shines. I love you so much honey!!! I can't wait to start our journey as PARENTS together TOMORROW!!!! (Sorry if this is too corny for some people, but Hayden really is my fairytale and dream come true!)

Hello! Ok, so there are a few things goin on! I had my final cord doppler reading today! Yay! Everything is looking good in fact the doctor said, "Her cord reading is looking so good I'm tempted to let you keep going." I asked her (the perinatologist) and my doctor their honest opinion if it would be better for the babies to really stay in there, but they said at 34 weeks babies do really really well so it is better to get them out and keep growin em from the outside! Especially since little Elle is so small and isn't growing as well as her brother. So, it's decided. I am scheduled to deliver on Monday, March 15th at 12:30. My babies will be here by 1! I made the decision to go with a c-section. I could try for a vaginal delivery, but there are so many more risks and complications for the babies and I would probably have to end up doing a c-section anyway after who knows how many hours of labor and stress form contractions on my little ones... so I feel that the best decision for THEM is to do a c-section. I just want them to be safe and okay, they have already been through enough and are gonna go through more being preemies and in the NICU. So please everyone pray that the surgery goes well and I recover well and that the babies are okay and all that jazz!! I have felt all your prayers already! My doctors are really impressed at how well me and the babies have been doing, they didn't think we would make it this far. I know it is because of all of your guy's faith and prayers that have helped me and my babies remain in such good conditions so thank you so so much!! I am very excited that I will be 34 weeks on Sunday!! My mom is driving up from Arizona and will be here Sunday Afternoon and then for I don't know how long after the babies come. I am really excited/glad/comforted/relieved/happy/thrilled that she is going to be here with me! AND Hayden... he is gonna need a lot of help and support too! :)

Jodi's little girl is here! Yay! She arrived right on her due date, Monday, March 8th. She weighed 6 lbs 13 0z and was 19 inches long. She has some dark hair! She is sooooo cute! Her name is Rose Diane Muraski, but most of us call her Rosie. Jodi said she has been a really good baby, mostly sleeps a lot! They are both healthy and doing well. Jodi is already home from the hospital and my mom is there all week helping her out. Her boys love their little sister!

33 Weeks and 3 week Mark

Hello! Technically, tomorrow is my 3 week mark of my fabulous vacation in the hospital! It hasn't been too bad, but I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to another week! On Friday I had another cord doppler reading ( and I have another on tomorrow) and it is still the same, which is good that it hasn't gotten worse. My doctors didn't think I would make it this far, they thought I would have to be delivered a week or two ago, so everyone is happy I've made it this far! We are thinking I'm gonna make it to 34 weeks and if I do, these are babies are gonna be here Monday, March 15th! One week from today!! The babies are both head down so my doctor said I can try for a vaginal delivery! Yay! I would love love to push these babies out rather than have a c-section so pray that baby Elle will handle the stress of the contractions!! Of course, I will do whatever is safest for these little babies, but I still wanna try delivering them the old-fashioned way!! I am very happy that I have made it to 33 weeks! Below are pictures of my 33 week belly! Am I bigger?? I sure FEEL like I am! Ha, well that's our update. Things are still going well and I feel blessed that the babies are still doing good! 2 Week Anniversary

Ok, so we have been here 2 weeks now! I think it's gone by relatively fast. It's hard to think of being here two more weeks though! We had an ultrasound and doppler cord reading today. Everything is basically the same as it was two weeks ago when I was admitted. Elle has grown some, weighing in at 2 lbs 10 oz, but they said it is hard to tell after just 2 weeks. She is still small and behind and her cord flow is not the best, but nothing is TOO bad that they feel it would be better to take them out. So, in they remain! Their hear rates are still doing great. Beckham is measuring great and weighs 3 lbs 13 oz. Almost 4 lbs yay! the way things are going, I think I'm gonna make it to 34 weeks, which is really great for the babies. That means I have about 2 weeks left! I think I can make it! Ha, like I have a choice. I got wheelchair privileges so Hayden takes me for a 30 minute ride everyday and I get to go outside and stuff. Freedom! Ha, ok well that is that! Things are boring, but I guess boring is good in this case. I just want my babies to he healthy and safe!!

Hello everyone! I made it through one week at the hospital!! Yay!!! It actually has not been bad at all. I don't mind being on bed rest. The only thing that has been really frustrating is that I have been sick. :( I have some kind of sinus infection/cold/cough whatever, but they are giving me pills and stuff so slowly each day I am getting a little better. Once I feel 100%, things will be much better! I like the hospital. The nurses are all very nice and take good care of me. I like my room with my great view outside and I even like the food! I find things to do to make the time pass like work on my independent study class, take naps, youtube etc. Hayden has moved in with me (of course he's my hubby!!) so whenever he's not at school or work he is here which is so nice! The babies have both been doing great this week. Their heart rates have remained stable. I had a doppler reading today where they measured the flow of the umbilical cords like they did last week. They are both the exact same, which is good. Elle's cord doesn't flow all the time like it should, it actually stops from time to time. The doctor said what eventually happens is the flow will not only stop, but reverse and flow the other direction! That is when the babies come out. Also, next week they will do another doppler reading and measure them to see if Elle has grown. If she hasn't grown at all they might take them out as well. So for now, the babes are doing fine, Elle's condition could get worse in 3 days or 3 weeks... no one knows!! So we'll see... but thank you so much to everyone who has called, commented, came to visit, prayed, or even thought about us!!! We really really appreciate everything and love you all! And also, please please don't feel bad if you aren't able to come visit!!! We feel all your love no matter where you are!!!

Well one thing is for sure, the countdown and "days remaining till delivery" here on our blog are definitely not correct! Hayden and I went in for an ultrasound on Tuesday. Beckham is doing great, measuring perfectly, right where he's supposed to be, 3 lbs. Ellery unfortunately is not growing so well. They found blood in her stomach which means she is swallowing blood that they think came from a her partly detached placenta. The flow of nutrients and oxygen through her umbilical cord is not where it should be and therefore she is behind. That day I checked in to the Intermountain Utah Valley Regional Hospital and will be remaining here until I have these babies...which could be anywhere from tomorrow or in the next 4 weeks. Fun right? They constantly monitor the babies heart rates to make sure things are going well, which they have been so far! Also I got a shot of steroids in my booty yesterday and get another today! It helps the babies lungs develop faster in case they are delivered soon! It actually didn't really even hurt, which is probably due to all the cushion I have down there. :) So yeah, that is our life and will be for the next while. we are doing very good though. We love our room we are in, the nurses take such good care of us (me), Hayden has a little cot that he sleeps on and yeah. It's like we're staying in a hotel...ha a very expensive one! Am I a horrible person for being stressed about how much all our medical bills are gonna be!? It was pretty shocking and surreal when the doctor was telling us everything that is going on, but I can honestly say I have felt completely okay. I haven't been scared or sad or worried. I have felt continual peace and comfort. I feel like everything is going to be ok and everything is in the hands of Heavenly Father. Whether these babies come tomorrow or in 4 weeks, we will be able to handle it and get through it. So please pray for us and keep us in our thoughts and don't feel sorry for us!! We are doing great and have high spirits. The situation is not ideal, but definitely doable!!! We love you all and will try to keep you updated on what's going on. Now I get to go eat my yummy hospital lunch! Yummy chocolate pudding! xoxo

So Hayden and I have many things in common and are a lot alike. His friends all tell me I am the female version of him. One of these things we share is our bunions! In case you don't know, a bunion is a bone on the side of your foot (by your big toe) that grows out and pushes your other toes to the side. Kinds hard to explain, but they can become very painful. Mine don't bother me all that much, but Hayden's hurt him what with walking around campus, being a waiter and doing Summer Sales. We decided to get his removed! Or at least one for now. :) He did it through lifetree research meaning they performed the surgery for free and then he was used to test out pain medications for 2 days at the hospital for which he will be compensated for. The surgery went really well but the medication didn't work very well. I missed him a lot those two days but was glad when I got to pick him up!! Now he is recovering really well and is walking around bit in a boot. :)

Hello world! We have been gone for a while... quick update. Christmas was great!! We went to Bakersfield to be my parents. It was just Hayden, Brian and I. Julie, Jodi and their families came a few days after. We were all exciting with anticipation for Eric's arrival home from his mission in Chile on New Year's Day. We picked him up from the airport that day and it was so fun! We were all thrilled!! Eric truly has grown and matured so much! But then again he is the same old Eric too. :) We were all wondering if he was gonna be "just got home off my mission weird" but he wasn't at all. That first night we watched the Dark Night. Anyway, it was so fun to all be together after two years! I love my family so much and it is sad/weird to think Brian will be missing next Christmas.

Finding out we are having TWINS was the best birthday present ever! On my actual birthday, Friday the 11th, Hayden woke up early and made me breakfast! So yummy! Then I had to go to a biomechanics review (yes, it was as much fun as it sounds). Then Hayden picked me up and we ate lunch and headed up to Salt Lake. We went to the humane society and played with/walked a bunch of dogs. We LOVE dogs and used to go there at least once a week when we lived up in Taylorsville. After that, Hayden made me put a blindfold on as we drove to our next destination. Hayden helped me out of the car, up some steps and when I took off the blindfold we were in a hotel suite in downtown Salt Lake! I was completely surprised! Hayden had been saving money up from work and booked it and packed our bags and everything without me knowing! This is a pretty special birthday because it's our last one together before the babies come! Hayden planned for us to go to the temple, but he forgot his recommend so we took a nap and then went out to dinner at Winger's! Yes, I picked the place and yes it was fabulous! I absolutely love winger's! It is amazing and they gave us a free asphalt pie for my birthday, which was huge by the way. We went back to our room and watched some movies and just enjoyed each other's company. It is so fun being married to your best friend. No matter where you are or what you are doing, you are having a good time! I had a wonderful birthday with my sweetie. Thank you Hayden for making me feel so special! I love you! Oh, and I'm 24 by the way.

AAaaahhhh!!! Ok, so Hayden and I got the SHOCK of our lives yesterday! We went in for our first ultrasound. It was the 20 week ultrasound to measure things, make sure the baby is alright and of course find out the gender! I was sitting there with the warm jelly and machine on my stomach when the ultrasound technician flipped it on and up on the screen popped this image that I thought looked a little odd. It appeared that there were two bodies...I thought that to myself and of course pushed that thought right out when she asked, "Do twins run in your family?" Hayden and I both shouted no and then she said, "There's two! There's two babies!" I will never forget that feeling. it was honestly just complete shock and bewilderment. I couldn't believe it. I kept asking the nurse over and over if she was kidding but the evidence was right in my face!! Hayden was crying and pacing around and we both just kept looking at each other, shaking our heads and laughing. We will never forget that day! The next 20 minutes she spent looking at each baby separately and measuring them. One of the first things I thought when she told us we had twins was that I didn't want 2 girls, no offense to anyone who has twin girls, I have just always said that if I had twins I would want a boy and a girl. Baby A is the baby that is closest to the cervix, or exit. It is the baby that will be delivered first. Baby A is a boy! We were both so excited when she said it was a boy! And even more happy when we saw that baby B was a girl. It was/is a dream come true! Baby A is right on track with measurements and baby b is about 5 days behind, she's a little smaller which it is normal for girls to be smaller than boys. So yeah, that was that! We had to switch from midwives to doctors and have an ultrasound every month and prepare for an early delivery and possible c-section and all the other fun stuff and risks that come with carrying twins! We are truly truly so excited though and feel so blessed (and maybe worried) that Heavenly Father trusts us with twins!!! We still can't believe it. I probably won't believe it until they are both in my arms! Our little boy is going to be Beckham Mark Gurman and the girl is Ellery Michelle Gurman. they are both family names. Beck and Elle. How precious. We couldn't be happier.

This is Hayden and Mike Dame. Hayden and mike have been best friends since I don't know when, let's just say a very long time. They have been through it all together. I have also known Mike since I was about 11! Yikes! Mike (thank heavens!) is the reason Hayden moved out to Utah in the first place! Mike got Hayden and I involved with Summer sales. He was the manager our first Summer in Nashville. This past Summer Mike sold security while Hayden and I opted to try out pest control. Mike and Hayden are now co-managing their office this Summer for Ecosure Pest Control! We are all very excited. Hayden and Mike work very well together and also have a lot of fun! Their office is going to be amazing and I am actually excited for the Summer.

Me, Hayden, Brian and my parents all made it down to warm Arizona for Thanksgiving! My dad was able to get us all buddy passes to fly down there and it was SO nice! We stayed with Jodi and Chris in their LOVELY house. It was such a fun trip! We played a lot of disc golf (well the guys did... us girls just watched them), went to The Blind Side (Amazing!), ate a TON of food, talked, laughed, played games, watched football and just enjoyed each other's company. The weather was gorgeous down there! We also went to the Mesa temple lights, which were so beautiful.

Ok, so on November 24, 2009 a groundbreaking event took place. My Hayden Gurman got a ace playing disc golf! So you may be wondering what this is, well it is actually a VERY big deal and HUGE accomplishment! From about 240 feet Hayden threw his disc and made it in ONE shot straight into the basket!!! Aces happen very rarely in disc golf and usually take years. Hayden has been playing for about 8 months, which makes his ace even more spectacular. Chris, my brother-in-law, was the only witness to the awe inspiring event. He has been quoted as saying he got goose bumps. Needless to say, I was very sad and disappointed I wasn't there to see it, but I will make sure I'm there for the next one! God job love!!

It's official...We are pregnant. Hayden and I went to the doctor today to make sure things are going good. We got to hear the heart beat! It was so amazing! It was so surreal and crazy to think there really is another LIFE growing inside of me! I have been really really sick so it's nice to know it's for a good reason! I am almost 12 weeks along and am due April 25th. Hayden and I are seriously ecstatic! We are so excited to have this baby and add to our family! It just seems like it is so far away and that I'm never REALLY going to have this baby....am I? I can't decide if I want a boy or girl, I have told most people I want a girl first, but now I don't know. I think I will be really excited and happy for either! Hayden of course wants a boy. It will be so fun to find all that out, but we won't know till December. And for those who don't know, Jodi and Julie are both pregnant too so we are all pregnant together!!! Ahh so crazy! Jodi is due first, then me, then Julie like 5 days later! It will be so neat to find out what we are all having!!

We made it back to Provo!!! It feels so good to be back. My dad was here dropping Brian off to the dorms so we got to hang out with him for a few days. Hayden got a job at Maglby's as a server. Life is great.

Hayden looked like a girl more than a lot of girls out there.

Since Denver has a Six Flags, we had to go sometime during the summer. Hayden made the team hit a goal and of course they hit it so we all went to ride some rides. We only had a few hours to take advantage of the park but we all had fun. Afterwards we took the team out to "CityGrill". This resturant sells one of the 5 top burgers in America. This burger is to die for. Everyone enjoyed it so much.

Hayden and Brian took some days off to go up to Cheyenne for Frontier Days. Everyone in the family came up to spend time with each other and enjoy the festivities. Frontier Days claims to be one of the largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration in the world. We went to the fair, at some funnel cakes, and Hayden and my Dad broke up a fight twice between two 16 year old girls.

Buffulo Wild Wings was hosting a fight night so we all decided to go. UFC had some of the best fighters competing against each other. Hayden loves ultimate fighting but I thinks he enjoyed his 24 wings a little bit more. I loved it!!! I couldn't get enough of it. I know that we are not supposed to watch such violent things but it was such a rush watching these fights.

We created an incentive for the team that if we hit a certain goal we would go to "Water World". Well, we hit our goal and we all got to go. We had so much fun!!! The whole team needed this getaway really bad. Especially Hayden, he was working so hard to help the team be successful.

Since they are all outside all day long, the sun gives them some killer farmer tans. We had a contest to see who had the worst one. Danny with the man chest took the win.

Our long-time friend Andy Dame came to Denver! While he was here we got to hang out and he and Hayden played disc golf! It was so so fun to see him and hang out! He hadn't seen Brian in years so that was cool for them to see each other. His brother Matt also came into town and I got to see him for a sec! Oh how we love love the Dames! They are all such special and fun people!

Interesting update in the lives of Lisa and Hayden. Hayden has been made the manager(one of two) of our office! There are 2 managers per office, not a manager and an assistant manager, but two main managers. One of ours couldn't be the manager so the owner and vice president of the company assigned Hayden to take his place. I am so proud of Hayden! He is truly amazing and is doing so good! All these guys are so lucky to have him leading them, and of course they love him! Hayden has been manager for about 2 days and is already breaking grounds! It's gonna be a great rest of the Summer!

Ok, this post is a little late, but on Memorial day (May 25th) Hayden and I went white water rafting in Colorado with our friend Vess and his wife and some of their friends. Oh my gosh!! It was seriously one of the funnest things I have ever done!! We absolutely loved it!! I have never been so freezing in all my life but I didn't care! It was such a rush and such an adventure! Hayden and I want to go at least once or twice each year. Enjoy the pics!

Hi! Ok, so here is an update about our first month here in Denver! Hayden and I just got called to be Sunday School teachers in our ward and we are way excited! It's gonna be fun! For the month of May Hayden serviced 71 accounts!!!! Aaahhhh!!! I am so incredibly proud of him! He is doing so so good and the owners say May is always the slowest month for pest control so he should do even better with each month! He is 2nd in the office right now (the guy in first is a manager and this is his 4th year selling pest control and he's not ahead of Hayden by that much)! I'm sorry, I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I am just so proud of Hayden! He is such a blessing and is such a hard worker and makes life a bliss! Heavenly Father has really blessed us and things are going great!

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a little bit, we haven't gotten internet in our apartment yet but I just wanted to do a little update about what's been going with us in Denver! So, life is pretty freakin great these days! I am working for the company as a secretary and I love it. It is part time which will leave me time to do online classes. Hayden is doing amazing (of course) selling Pest Control. We love all the people in the office and we are all good friends and hang out and do stuff together. It's just really good times. We are so glad to be here in this time in our lives!

What a past couple of days it has been! we left California Sunday afternoon and drove about half way. We stayed in a motel and then got up early and drove the rest of the way to Denver. We actually live in Westminster, which I believe is northern Denver. We got in about 6 pm. It didn't take us long to unpack and get settled because we didn't bring that much stuff at all!! Our apartment is way nice and pretty spacious and we don't even fill it half way! We love the areas we live in and everyone has been so nice! It was a little chilly when we got here, but I'm kinda glad because the Summer won't be extremely hot or humid! Yay!

April 24th (yesterday) was Hayden's 27th birthday! I had so much time spending time with him and making him feel special. Hayden just happens to be the most caring, loving, sweet, sexy hunk on the planet and I feel so privileged to be his wife! I woke up early and made Hayden breakfast in bed. It included french toast, eggs with ham and cheese, butter and cheese grits (it's a southern thing), fresh strawberries with whipped cream and OJ and milk! That day we went and played disc golf (Hayden beat me twice) and then had lunch at Chipotle! Yum! Totally vegan friendly and delish at that! then we watched a movie and later went out to eat with the fam. We came home and had Hayden's birthday cheesecake (yes, I made it and yes it was what he wanted)! It was seriously a great day!! I love you baby!!

He talks about it all the time and plays as much as he can, so of course the second day we are here in California he has already found all the courses and has recruited my brother Brian and my dad to play with him. Ok, so what a crazy week we had!! We are so glad it is Monday and a new week(especially because we are on VACATION!!). Last week Hayden and I had to study for finals, take all of our finals, move everything out of our apartment, pack for cali/Denver and clean the entire apartment! We told our leasing agent we would be out by the 21st, but the more we thought about it the more we just wanted to hurry and get to Cali!! So we decided to cram all the above mentioned things into a couple of days and we did it! I can't believe it's all over! Hayden took engagement pictures for a couple Satuday night, but after that we got everything finished and we left Provo at 11 pm!! We drove all night, taking turns, and got in to Bakersfield at 7:30 in the morning!!! The trip was actually not that bad and went by pretty fast. the greatest part was seeing my parents faces when we walked in!! They thought we were coming Monday so it was a big surprise!! So fun!! We have only been here one day and it has already been so much fun! we have the best family. The weather here is gorgeous so we went on a walk last night.

Sooooo I cut my hair! Can you believe it? I did the big chop Friday and I really like it. I still am not used to what I see when I look in the mirror now, but that will change. i know long hair is pretty and blah blah blah, but short hair is hot. And SO much easier to manage and fix and keep healthy and the list goes on and on. Plus, my husband LOVES my hair like this and he is who I really care about! It was time for a change and feel great!!

Hello everybody! We've missed you!! So, sorry I haven't posted anything in like forever, but this one should sum our lives up the past weeks. Life has been pretty good. School has been fine. This semester is actually almost over! Hayden's last day is tomorrow and mine is on Tuesday and then we just have finals!! We are both so excited to have a break from school. We like it, but it's a lot of work! Hayden is going to sell Pest Control this Summer for a company called Ecosure(they used to be called Moxie). We know it seems like maybe a funny decision, but we just feel good about it. We will be moving to Denver for the Summer and we are way excited! my sis Julie and her fam live just north in Cheyenne so it will be fun to be closer to them. We move out of our apartment on April 21st...which is in 9 days! Whew time has just flown by!!! Part of my fam came and visited last weekend for general conference and it was so so good to be with them!! My family is seriously so awesome and fun to be around. But yeah...that's pretty much our lives. No, I'm not pregnant and yes we are still vegans.

Ok, so Hayden is my husband. Haha, I still can't believe it! I want all of you to get to know him a little better so I'm gonna post little bits of information about him throughout the course of my blogging. This will be the first. The picture above is of Hayden and his biological father, Williams Beckam. He and Hayden's mom dated for a few years, had Hayden and eventually broke up. When Hayden was about two years old, his mom married a Venezuelan man names Eli Gurman. When Hayden was 8, he was legally adopted by him, hence his name is Hayden Gurman (dang it! Can you believe I could've almost been Lisa Beckam!!?? How hot is that??). Hayden and I had the opportunity to go visit his dad who lives in Fernadina Beach in Florida. We had so much fun and Hayden actually reminds me a lot of his dad! They have the same eyes too! :)

Life As We Know It...

So, yesterday was probably the most traumatic day of my life. Since I moved to Utah, my menstrual cramps got really bad and I had to see a doctor about them and treat them and prevent endometriosis and stuff. When I was a freshmen at BYU I had cramps so bad that I ended up in the emergency room. I been able to keep them in control for the most part the past couple of years... until yesterday. I started my period the day before and things were fine. Things were even fine all day until about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Hayden was at work and I had been home from school for about an hour. My cramps slowly set in and then turned into the most painful experience I have ever had in my entire life. I tried everything! I tried to take a bath, I stumbled around the apartment, I tried to lay in bed, but nothing helped! I even took medicine and nothing! The cramps lasted for about two hours and with every passing minute I felt myself getting weaker and weaker and dizzier and dizzier. I felt like I was going to throw up and pass out. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror as I plowed myself on my bed and I was ghastly white. My body felt like it was going to rip in half. I screamed and cried and begged and pleaded. Sometimes it was to no one and sometimes it was to Heavenly Father. The worst part was that I was completely alone. I honestly thought that I was going to die and that I was going to die alone. I finally called Hayden at work and he came home. By the time he got home at 5, I was passed out. He woke me up and although I was very weak and dizzy, my cramps had subsided. It was a very scary and traumatic experience for me.
A big part of the reason why is that it was so hard for me to know that Heavenly Father had the power to take it all away from me, but He didn't. It got me thinking about life and all the crazy and hard times that we go through. It can be so hard to go through painful times knowing that Heavenly Father can take it all away, but won't for some reason. This is when we need very strong faith. We have to know that no matter what happens to us, Heavenly Father is there and He loves us and knows what is best for us. There is always a reason why we go through trials, but a lot of times we can't see those reasons until later on in life. I don't really know the purpose of this post, I just has a really hard day and I know there are gonna be many more and even worse days, but I also know that Heavenly Father loves me and is in total control and I trust Him to do anything. He can see the whole picture, I can't. One of the big reasons I have so much faith in Heavenly Father, despite the bad things that happen, is because of my sweet husband Hayden. I honestly know that Heavenly Father brought us together and he is my life's greatest blessing. He is my best friend and my perfect helpmeet. Everyday that I wake up next to him I am reminded of the merciful and generous Heavenly Father above that is always blessing my life. So I guess, even though life can be so freakin hard sometimes, Heavenly Father really is there and in control and we will be okay. It will pass and we will be better for it, if we have faith and stay strong. :)

We Got A New Car!!!!

Hahaha ok, yeah right people! Hayden and I love our little Honda Fit and will be driving that thing for a lllooonnnnggg time! This Porsche you see belongs to our friend Shelli's daddy. We went up to West Jordan on Sunday for the blessings of their twin girls and afterwards hung out at Shelli's parents house. While we were there her dad let us take his car for a drive. It was a sweet ride! Hayden definitely enjoyed himself. :) The baby blessings were so so good and the spirit was incredibly strong! It was a very special experience for Hayden and I.

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while... our lives are pretty boring right now. We go to school, Hayden works (YES I am still looking for a job!) and we just chill. So after a long week, we went out on a date Saturday night. We went and saw the movie Seven Pounds with Will Smith. We had a lot of fun and it was a really good movie. Kinda sad though. It's one of those movies that you'll continue to think about long after it is over. We try to not stay up too late on Saturdays and party because we have church at 8 in the morning the next day!!

Sundays are very low-key for us. Are they that way for anyone else? We have church bright and early starting at 8 AM (yes, that's right) and get home at 11! So for the rest of they day it's pj's, free movies from Netflix, and a lot of eating. :) I know this probably sounds like sinning and we should be more productive, but our weeks are really crazy hectic and it's kinda nice to be able to just chill on Sundays. It is a day of rest ya know. And as life goes on our precious Sundays are just gonna get more and more hectic so we wanna soak it up now! We did have our home teacher (yes he was alone. sad) come teach us today. That was kinda fun. It was our first home teacher since we've been married!

Yay for Fridays! The week can be pretty stressful and mundane with school and work and blah blah, so Hayden and I like to get out and do something fun! Thursday night we went Latin dancing and met our new friend whose name is Will. :) He works at Comedy Sportz and told us to come to his show on Friday so we did! Who doesn't like to see people make fools of themselves and laugh until your face hurts?? It was really fun! All the actors were really good and we can't wait to go back!

Hayden and I loved not having school yesterday! It was nice to be together and catch up on homework and stuff, although Hayden did still have to work. :( Why do we have to work and pay bills and be adults? i just want to be with my hubby and my family and ENJOY. Hehe...but things are going good. Nothing really exciting...I wish there was something exciting to share...Brian got accepted to BYU! That's cool. I am really excited to have him live here by us! I really need/want a job way bad and yes I have looked, every day, and will continue to do so. It is just a little difficult to fit work in around school and vice versa. The more i am at home bored and alone while Hayden is at work, the more I realize I need a job. Here's a little update about me: I love to cook! I mean, I have always liked cooking a lot...I usually always made dessert for my family on Sundays. But now I really love it and look forward to doing it! Especially because I am constantly finding and trying out new Vegan recipes for Hayden and I. It is like a little experiment. Also, I had a thought today...won't it be weird when my kids are older and they look at this blog! They'll be like, "Mom you were such a dork," and "Dad you were hot, what happened?" haha I know I love looking back at my parents old photos and reading their journals and stuff to see the people they used to be and still are. Good times. Well, until next time...

We decided to go visit Jodi and her family in warm Arizona with our rental car while our car was in the shop. Jodi is the activities president for her ward and had a dance planned one of the nights we were gonna be there. Good thing we came to the rescue because she definitely out did herself!! We hung all those lights and tool across the ceiling which took hours! The activity turned out very nice though!

Oh Valentines Day! What a silly but fun Holiday. Hayden and I started our day at the gym and then went to the temple. I made one of Haydens favorite dinners(it's hard to find places to eat out at when you're a vegan!) and we watched a movie. Then Hayden gave me a much needed full body massage and a heart-felt letter. It was so nice to be together and not have work or school! Bye bye chocolate!

Over the Summer Hayden was employed by Platinum Protection Security Systems. Now back in Provo he has gotten a job with the rival company...APX Alarms. Haha I think it is funny and ironic. APX is a good company and has been around a long time. Hayden is a sales rep for them doing inbound sales. Basically he tries to sell people over the phone on getting a security system. He just finished his week of training on Friday so we will see how it goes! Hayden of course excels in everything he does.

THE CHINA STUDY

SO this semester for one the health classes I am taking I had to read a book related to health issues. My teacher recommended a book called The China Study. My grandma and mom and others have read this book as well. The book is basically about how bad animal and dairy products are for you and how society is completely confused about health. It is backed by tins and tons of research and studies. Well it had a BIG impact on me and so....Hayden and I are vegans. Yes, it is true. We have been for over 3 weeks now!! It has not been hard AT ALL and we feel soooo great! There are tons and tons of great vegan recipes. Basically you eat what is in your house, so I don't buy anything with any animal or dairy products in them, so we don't eat them! It's simple. The pictures above are of course of us in our pre-vegan days. :)

Here are two pics from our new little apartment. We love it! And we know it may not look like much, but you didn't see it before we decorated! We live in the basement of a little old ghetto white house. It is small and simple and works perfect for us(the rent is amazing too)! I have to admit Hayden did most of the decorating...he's great with that stuff(as he is with EVERYTHING...my brother thinks he is Batman). In addition to the pictures we also have a desk/computer area, a small bathroom and an even smaller kitchen. :)

So a few weeks ago Hayden and I went BACK to California to visit the fam. We just couldn't help ourselves! the weather there is beautiful and the company is superb. We had a wonderful time! We went to Santa Monica beach and it was absolutely gorgeous! The weather, the water, the food, everything! We even went on a little boat ride and got up close and personal with some cute dazing sea lions!
